Development of Vietnam image-creation ecosystem in line with international standards
The symposium “The Image-Creation Ecosystem (AVGC) in Vietnam” on Nov. 27, 2021 gathered national and international experts to discuss the development of creative industry in Vietnam.
The event saw the representatives of Institut Français Vietnam (IFV), Goethe-Institut Vietnam, UNESCO, VTC Academy, and other professional partners discuss the industry’s prospects in Vietnam.
Huge demand for high-quality human resources in the image-creation market during the past few years has urged top leaders and influencers to build a firm foundation for the visual creative industry.
According to international experts, Vietnam has been one of the most potential creative markets in Southeast Asia with advantages such as cultural diversity, a rich heritage, young population who are eager to adopt technology trends, and burgeoning cities.
The creative industry first appeared in Europe in the mid-20th century, then developed and reached its peak in Asia. In thriving markets such as Japan, South Korea, the U.S., and European countries, the creative industry not only brings immense values to the domestic economy but also makes significant contributions in spreading traditional cultural values around the world.
Many international experts said that developing an image-creation ecosystem is a critical mission for not only cultural organizations and companies but also educational institutions, especially in the context of the explosion of technology and globalization. Hence, the development of the image-creation ecosystem in Vietnam will raise the country’s competitiveness and global ranking.
At the symposium, there were international leaders in different fields including Frédéric Cros, general director of Pôle Image Magelis (France), Dennis Schoubye, director of Game City Hamburg (Germany), and professor Hannes Rall of the University Nanyang Technology (Singapore).
Vietnamese representatives including Hoang Viet Tan, CEO of VTC Academy, and Vu Tran Lam, branch director of VTC Academy, also joined to discuss how to apply the expertise of training high-quality human resources to facilitate the development of AVGC ecosystem and create an innovative environment for the young generation.
The development of the AVGC ecosystem in line with international standards will offer various opportunities for the creative communities in Vietnam, significantly contribute to national growth and inspire millions of youngsters to pursue their passions, demonstrate skills, and generate innovations.
